Unplugged Designs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us through this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you submit a quote request or contact form, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, property address or ZIP code, project details, and any photos you choose to attach. We may also automatically collect basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, which our web host records in standard server logs. When you send a request, we also save how you reached our website (for example the referring website, a campaign tag in the link you followed, and the first page you visited). This helps us understand which advertising and outreach works. It is stored with your request and is not shared.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries and quote requests, schedule and deliver landscape materials and services, and improve our website and services. If you include an email address, we send you one confirmation email with a copy of your request. We do not add you to a mailing list. If you opt in to text updates, we text you about your request as described in the Text messages section below. Your IP address is also used briefly to limit repeated form submissions and prevent spam.

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host, email provider and text-messaging provider, only so they can perform those services for us, or when required by law. This does not include sharing mobile phone information or SMS consent for marketing: see Text messages below.

Text messages (SMS)

Mobile phone information and SMS opt-in/consent data will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing described in this policy.

Who we text. Unplugged Designs sends texts from (239) 376-3888 to two groups only:

• Customers who opt in. You can sign up on our Text Updates page, or by ticking the optional, unchecked text updates box on our quote request form. If a customer independently sends us a text message, we may reply to that conversation. An inbound message by itself does not enroll the customer in recurring proactive text updates. We text only about your own request: quote follow-up, scheduling, appointment and delivery confirmations, material delivery coordination (including a morning-of delivery confirmation), service and project updates, and replies to your messages. We never send marketing or promotional texts, and we never text purchased lists or people who have not contacted us.
• The business owner and staff who personally agree. Internal operational alerts for our own scheduling: booking approval requests (answered YES, NO or CHANGE), schedule changes, cancellations, blocked time, daily delivery rundowns, and replies to their schedule questions. Having a number on file does not sign anyone up. Each person receives their own one-time invitation link (by email, or shared with them directly; never by text) and must tick an unchecked consent box on that page before we send them any text. These alerts are not marketing and are separate from customer texts.

What we collect. Your mobile number, your name if you give it, the date and time you opted in, the exact wording you agreed to, the web page you used, your IP address and browser type (as proof of consent), and the texts you send us. For owner and staff alerts we also keep the person’s name and own email address (to send their invitation), the version of the consent wording they accepted, and every opt-in and opt-out, which are never edited or deleted. We use this only to send the texts described above and to keep a record of consent and opt-out.

Your choices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out; you will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (239) 295-8266 or morgan@unplugged-designs.com. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

Delivery. Texts are delivered by our messaging provider, Twilio, which processes your number and messages only to deliver them for us. See our Terms & Conditions for the full text-messaging terms.

Our app and Client Portal

The Unplugged Designs app (for iPhone and Android) and our Client Portal at portal.unplugged-designs.com let customers see their visit reports, approve recommendations, request service and pay invoices. When you use them, we collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, password (stored securely by our sign-in provider), phone number and your preferred way to be contacted.
• Property information: the park, lot or address we service, arrival and departure dates you give us, and an emergency contact if you add one.
• Photos and notes you send with a request or issue report, and photos our crew takes during service. Service photos may include the location where they were taken, so we know which part of the property they show.
• Location: only when you tap a button that uses it (for example “Find my lot”). The app does not track your location in the background.
• Microphone: only when our staff tap the microphone to dictate a quote. Speech is turned into text by the phone’s own speech service; we do not store recordings.
• Notifications: if you turn on notifications, we store your device’s notification token to send you service updates. You can turn them off in your phone’s settings.
• Invoices and payments: amounts, dates and payment status. Card and bank details are handled by PayPal, not stored by us.

We use this information only to provide and schedule our services, communicate with you and keep records of work done. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.

Who can see it. Only the owners of Unplugged Designs can see customer information in the app. The service providers that run the app for us (hosting, database, email, text messages and PayPal payments) process it only to perform those services for us. If you live in a community we serve, that community’s authorized manager can see your name, contact details, lot and requests for that community.

How long we keep it. We keep your account information while you have an account. Invoices, payment records and visit reports are business and tax records, and we keep them for 7 years after the work is done.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Account → Delete account.

• Removed right away: your sign-in and all sessions, your notification preferences, community access, and devices registered for notifications.
• Erased: your name, email address, phone number, emergency contact and stay dates, and your private lot-summary link.
• Kept, because we must keep business and tax records: invoices, payment records and visit reports for work we already performed, with your name removed, for 7 years; and the service history of the property itself.

Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, which planning tools are used, and whether a quote request was sent. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to count visits. We do not send your name, phone number, email address, address, or anything you type into our forms to Google Analytics, and we do not use advertising cookies. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Other cookies are set only for site administrators who log in to manage the website. To remember how you arrived during a single visit, and to keep your project planning list, the site uses your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab and is never used to track you across other websites.

Third-party services

This website is hosted by GoDaddy. Quote and contact requests are stored on our website and sent to our business email. Text updates opt-ins are also recorded in our Client Portal so our scheduling system texts only people who opted in. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps in a new tab, where Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. Links to our Facebook and Instagram pages take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

If you choose financing, you apply through Joist and its partner Acorn Finance, and directly with the lender you select. Those companies collect and use your information under their own privacy policies. Our Client Portal, at portal.unplugged-designs.com, is a separate application with its own sign-in for lot care customers.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Photos attached to quote requests are stored privately with your request in our website database and are not publicly accessible. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may request that we update or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the information below.

Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
