How to Measure
Measure the length and width of the coverage area in feet. Choose the planned depth in inches based on the material and project. Irregular areas can be divided into smaller rectangles, calculated separately and added together for a more useful estimate.

Calculator results are estimates. Existing grade, compaction, settling, waste and uneven ground can change the amount required. Shell, soil and aggregate projects often benefit from a modest allowance so work does not stop before the area is complete.
